This blog chronicles our trip to Scotland: May 24th 2006 to June 2nd 2006 and a few other major events we'd like to share with our friends.
We just returned from Scotland with a lighter load than when we left, because we both left our hearts behind.
After just one visit to Scotland we're determined to become residents. Now that our trip is done with, this blog will continue to be used to chronicle our progress towards our goal of relocating to the UK.
Update: We've relocated to Eureka, California. We both consider this a step closer to Scotland. Getting out of Los Angeles was a major hurtle, we hope to spend our time here acclimating to the dreary British-esque weather and saving up for our big move to Scotland.

Urquhart Castle on the banks of Loch Ness
By yon bonnie banks,
And by yon bonnie braes,
Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond,
Where me and my true love
Were ever want to gae,
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
'Twas then that we parted
In yon shady glen,
On the steep, steep side of Ben Lomond,
Where in purple hue
The Highland hills we view,
And the moon coming out in the gloaming.
Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
The wee birdie sang
And the wild flowers spring,
And in sunshine the waters are sleeping,
But the broken heart it kens
Nae second Spring again,
Tho' the waeful may cease frae their greeting.
Oh! ye'll take the high road and
I'll take the low road,
And I'll be in Scotland afore ye;
But me and my true love
Will never meet again
On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond
